Amazing Wall Graphics For Amazon

All these factors in the overall design of a new 4-story building that Amazon bought in Irvine. With the help of Caliber Signs & Imaging, we were able to transform their space using wall signs and graphics.
Turning Plain Walls into Exciting Office Features
Aside from being customer-centric, Amazon also focuses on taking care of its employees. It’s essential for them to keep employees safe, valued, and empowered. Creating the right environment is a great way to nurture this type of environment.
For this new office, Caliber Signs & Imaging had the opportunity to create a space that exuded warmth, creativity, and brightness. This was done through various wall signs and graphics.
The goal was to add wall graphics to all common walkways, kitchens, rest areas, elevator lobbies, a lobby entrance, and a recreational room. Amazon gave the creative direction for the graphics (California-themed), designed by architect Gensler.
Creating High-Quality Wall Signs & Graphics
This project started with wall graphics printed on a textured wallpaper material called Dreamscape Terralon. For the material to properly adhere, the walls needed to be prepped to level 5 smoothness finish. We also needed to apply different solutions, like a special primer and wallpaper paste to ensure the best results. Our installers worked with precision so there are no gaps left and the design had proper continuity.
Dimensional graphics were also added to the walls to enhance the space. Here we used wood with a specific laminate grain and color to match various fixtures and elements. To keep employees inspired and engaged, motivational phrases were also added around the building. For those, we used ½” acrylic, painted with specific colors to match the overall design.
Lastly, the lobby area was adorned with a 1.5” acrylic sign of the business’s name and logo. Here, we made sure to use Amazon’s corporate blue and yellow colors. The sign was stud mounted off the wall with spacers for that clean, dimensional look.

For this project, we made sure to submit finished samples of every item to the architect. This ensured everything was reviewed and approved for color, finish, and quality. In total, we installed 8000 square feet of printed wallpaper around the building.
